Weekly Update 03/16/12

Important Announcements:

*Book orders were sent home on Thursday. They are due on Wednesday. I am hoping to have the books in school before spring break. If you want to order online, our class code is: GVCWL

*Mrs. Angle sent information home about our upcoming Spring Party. Please make sure to return the form to school or contact her if you are interested in helping or donating. Thanks!

*Spelling has been challenging and next week’s words are no exception. Do you know what a petroglyph is? It is drawings on a cave. Happy studying!

*We did spring cleaning in our classroom today. I had the students take home things that were distracting to them that have been in desks. Individual pencil sharpeners are one thing that can no longer be here at school. Not only are children sharpening pencils constantly, but there have been numerous examples of messes being left on the floor from the pencil sharpeners. I am hoping since we have cleaned out our desks, we will be more focused!
