Weekly Update 10/12/12

Important Announcements:

*Report cards will be available online TODAY Friday, October 12th.

*We are saddened by the fact that Aubri Hamilton will be moving over Fall Break.  We wish her luck in her new school and hope to be pen pals with her new class.  We will miss you, Aubri!

*Your child brought home a Fall Break reading log.  If your child chooses to participate, he/she can earn an extra recess.  See the sheet for all of the details!

*Miss Berry and I enjoyed meeting with each of you during your child’s parent / teacher conference.  We look forward to working together to ensure your child has a great year!

*Donations needed!  We love using our fluency phones in class, and we need to keep them clean and germ free!  We are in need of Clorox or Lysol wipes so we can clean and sanitize them.  If you would be willing to donate some, I would greatly appreciate it!  Thanks!

*Second nine weeks starts on Monday, October 8th.  After we get back from Fall Break, we are going to start taking our spelling tests online using www.spellingcity.com/awhisman.  Feel free to use this website to practice the spelling words and take practice tests.  You may also want to have your child spend time practicing typing in the website address.

*We will be celebrating Red Ribbon Week when we return to school.  We will have 3 spirit days.  Monday will be a pajama day.  Tuesday will be wear red day.  Wednesday will be dress up like what you want to be when you grow up.

*Monday, October 29th will be Delaware Trail night at Chick-Fil-A from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.  Mark your calendars, and I will see you there!

*Have a happy and safe Fall Break!
