Important Announcements:
*End of the First Nine Weeks is TODAY. Report cards will be available online
starting Friday, October 12th.
*I am so excited to have a student teacher starting with us
on Monday. Miss Maria Berry is from
Marian University, and she will be with us until Christmas Break. Welcome, Miss Berry!
*Yankee Candle order forms with money are due back on
Monday, October 8th. Money
raised during the Yankee Candle Sale goes back into the classroom through
grants.
*Parent / Teacher conferences are next week. They will take place on Wednesday, October 10th
from 4:30 – 8:00 p.m. and Thursday, October 11th from 4:30 – 8:00
p.m. A reminder letter with your date
and time came home on Monday. I am
looking forward to meeting with you to discuss your child’s progress.
*Donations needed! We
love using our fluency phones in class, and we need to keep them clean and germ
free! We are in need of Clorox or Lysol
wipes so we can clean and sanitize them.
If you would be willing to donate some, I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks!
*Mrs. Kraus will be in our room on Friday, October 12th
at 9:00 a.m. She will be doing another character
education lesson with us!
*We will end Unit 3 with a test in math on Friday, October
12th.
*Second nine weeks starts on Monday, October 8th. After we get back from Fall Break, we are
going to start taking our spelling tests online using www.spellingcity.com/awhisman. Feel free to use this website to practice the
spelling words and take practice tests.
You may also want to have your child spend time practicing typing in the
