Important Announcements:
*Congratulations to Jonathon,
Faith, Grace, Opeyemi, Ayden, and Joey!
These children leveled up on the super-improvers wall in the
classroom. Students earn stars by
showing improvement in academic and behavioral areas. Once ten stars are earned, a child levels up
to the next level. Way to go!
*Our class will be visiting
the Santa Shoppe on Tuesday, December 9th. An envelope went home today that you can fill
out and send money in if you want your child to shop. We will be shopping during our specials time
on Tuesday (from 2:10 – 2:55). This will
be the only chance your child will have to shop so please make sure he/she
brings her money on Tuesday, December 9th! Thanks!
*Next week I will be
administering the middle of the year Dibels test to your child. This is where your child will read three
passages to me. I will be evaluating
your child on the number of words read per minute, your child’s accuracy, and
the amount and accuracy your child can retell to me.
*If your child is missing a
coat, hat, or lunchbox, please have him/her check the school’s lost and
found. Our lost and found collection has
exploded recently! All items that are in
the lost and found will be donated during Christmas Break.
*Continue to work on addition
and subtraction math facts. Make sure to
use those fact triangles that were sent home, or you can practice for free
online at www.xtramath.org. Let me know if
you need the log-in information sent home again.
*If anyone is able to come in
and volunteer next week, send me an e-mail and let me know what day and time
works best for you! Thanks!
*I believe in building relationships with the children both
inside my classroom and outside the classroom.
If your child participates in any extracurricular activities (sports,
dance, theater, etc.), or has any other events that he/she would like to invite
me to, please let me know, and I will do my best to come!
