Important Announcements:
*Congratulations to Addy,
Lila, and Jonathon for leveling up this week.
Wow! I am so proud of how hard
these students are working to show behavioral and academic growth. Way to go, Addy, Lila, and Jonathon!
*Our class earned an extra
recess today because we were the class to bring in the most donations for the
Tier I Winter Carnival basket! Thanks to
all that donated to our class basket!
*I am sending home the
permission slip for this year’s field trip TODAY. Second grade will be going to the
Indianapolis Zoo on Tuesday, May 19, 2015.
The cost of the field trip is $5.
If you are interested in chaperoning, the cost for you will be $6. Permission slips and money are due by Friday,
April 24, 2015.
*We are in need of volunteers
for our Spring Book Fair which begins next Friday, April 17th. Please consider
sacrificing a couple of hours to volunteer. Thank you for all you do!
Delaware Trail PTSG
*I have decided to extend the
reading competition until May 1, 2015. Final
points reports will be printed at the end of the day, and an invitation will be
extended to those students that qualify for the pizza party! I currently have one child qualified –
Lila! Congratulations, Lila!
*Continue to work on addition
and subtraction math facts. Make sure to
use those fact triangles that were sent home, or you can practice for free
online at www.xtramath.org.
*If anyone is able to come in
and volunteer next week, send me an e-mail and let me know what day and time
works best for you! Thanks!
*I believe in building relationships with the children both
inside my classroom and outside the classroom.
If your child participates in any extracurricular activities (sports,
dance, theater, etc.), or has any other events that he/she would like to invite
me to, please let me know, and I will do my best to come!
*The blog will also be updated with this information as well
so if you need to see it again visit http://misswhisman.blogspot.com
