Weekly Update 04/27/12

Important Announcements:
*Our field trip to McCloud Nature Park was fantastic!  The kids had a great time and learned a lot.  I would like to thank the parents that were able to go with us on our trip: Mr. Angle, Mrs. Fought, Mr. Hogan, Mr. Matthews, Mrs. Meiners, Mrs. Meller, Mrs. Newberry, Mrs. Vaught, and Mrs. Watson.  Thanks for taking time out of your busy schedule to come with us today!
*We will be going to the Book Fair on Wednesday during our specials time (2:10 – 2:50).  Your child may bring money to shop for books during this time.  The book fair is offering buy one get one free.  It will also be open during the data night and art show.
*Transportation and enrollment forms were sent home on Wednesday.  These are due back to me by Tuesday, May 1st.  Thanks!
*Our annual data night and art show is taking place on Thursday, May 3rd starting at 6:00 p.m.  This is a time for your child to show you his/her school work, data, and some art work.  I look forward to seeing you there!
*Grades 3 – 5 will be taking the final part of ISTEP + testing next week.  Because of this, our lunch and recess schedule on Thursday ONLY will be different.  We will eat lunch from 11:45 – 12:15 and have recess from 12:15 – 12:40.
*Mrs. Hopkins is looking for volunteers for track and field on Friday, May 11, 2012.  If interested in helping her at a station, please e-mail at shopkins@brownsburg.k12.in.us or call her at 317-852-1062 with the following information: whether you can work a.m., p.m., or all day; your phone number; your e-mail address.  Volunteers help to make the day a successful one!
