Important Announcements:
*Welcome Back! I hope
everyone had a wonderful and restful break.
I sure did, but I missed the kids so much! I am so happy to be back for the start of our
third nine weeks!
*The January Book-It Calendar was sent home on Tuesday,
January 8th. It is to be
returned on Thursday, January 31st for a reading grade!
*Report cards are available online starting today!
*Your child brought home a Time for Teachers sheet on
Wednesday. Time for Teachers will be
held on Monday, February 11th from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. This is a time where your child can do a
fun-filled activity with a teacher after school. In order to participate, you will fill out
the form with your child’s top three choices.
You will place a bid on the form that you would be willing to pay if
your child’s bid wins. The bid sheets
are due back to school on Wednesday, January 16th. You will be notified on Wednesday, January 23rd
if your child won, and the money will be due back on Wednesday, January 30th. This is a fun-filled event for your child and
for the teachers!
*Book orders were sent home today. If you would like to order books, fill out
the forms and return to school no later than Friday, January 18th. If you write a check, please make it payable
to Scholastic Book Clubs. You can also
place your order online. Our class code
is: GVCWL.
*Our next math test will take place on Friday, January 18th.
*Mark your calendars now! Our class will be participating in the Micronauts program at the Challenger Learning Center on Wednesday, March 20, 2013. We will leave school at 9:00 a.m. and return at 11:30 a.m. For this mission, we will need at least 8 parent volunteers. More information will be coming!
