*We will be taking the January SRI this Thursday, January 31st.
I am excited to get an updated lexile
score for your child!
*Our school will be practicing a lock down drill on
Thursday, January 31st. I
will be discussing this with the class on Wednesday to prepare them and alleviate
any anxiety. I will NOT be discussing
recent events with them. If you have any
questions, please do not hesitate to ask!
*The January Book-It Calendar was sent home on Tuesday,
January 8th. It is to be
returned THIS Thursday, January 31st for a reading grade! The February Book-It calendar will be sent
home on Friday, February 1st.
* Time for Teachers will be held on Monday, February 11th
from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. This is a time
where your child can do a fun-filled activity with a teacher after school. You were notified on Wednesday, January 23rd
if your child won, and the money is due back on Wednesday, January 30th. This is a fun-filled event for your child and
for the teachers!
*The book fair is returning to Delaware Trail. It will take place February 4th –
8th. Our class will be going
on Monday, February 4th during our specials time. If you would like for your child to purchase
books, please make sure he/she brings money on Monday, February 4th! Thanks!
*If we have a two hour delay on a Wednesday, students will be dismissed at the regular time of 3:40 p.m.
*Mark your calendars now! Our class will be participating in the Micronauts program at the Challenger Learning Center on Wednesday, March 20, 2013. We will leave school at 9:00 a.m. and return at 11:30 a.m. For this mission, we will need at least 8 parent volunteers. More information will be coming!
