Weekly Update 01/17/14


Important Announcements:

*We celebrated two birthdays this week!  Ryan celebrated his birthday on Monday, January 13th and Taylor celebrated his birthday on Friday, January 17th!  Happy Birthday, Ryan and Taylor! 

*Because of the snow days, report cards were delayed.  Report cards are now available online starting TODAY. 

*Snow days will be made up the first week of June.  As of now, we WILL have school on June 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th. 

*There will be NO school on Monday, January 20, 2014, in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day! 

*Our Unit 6 math test will take place on Friday, January 24th.  A study guide will be sent home for homework on Thursday. 

*Scholastic Book order forms are being sent home with your child today.  If you would like to purchase any books, please fill out the order form and return it to school with money by Friday, January 24th.  If you wish to purchase books online, you can use the order code: GVCWL.

*Time with Teachers winning bid sheets will go home on Tuesday, January 21st.   The money for your child’s activity will be due on Friday, January 24th. 

*I sent home green reading workbooks with your child on Thursday.  These workbooks have extra pages that we will not be using this year.  You may use the workbooks however you choose! 

*Our next school-wide goal for behavior tickets by the end of the 3rd nine weeks is 25,000.

*I believe in building relationships with the children both inside my classroom and outside the classroom.  If your child participates in any extracurricular activities (sports, dance, theater, etc.), or has any other events that he/she would like to invite me to, please let me know, and I will do my best to come!
