Important Announcements:
*Congratulations to Opeyemi,
Sa’Nyah, Griffin, Caleb, McKenzie, and Grace for leveling up this week. Wow! I
am so proud of how hard these students are working to show behavioral and
academic growth. Way to go, Opeyemi, Sa’Nyah,
Griffin, Caleb, McKenzie, and Grace!
*Happy Spring Break! I hope that everyone enjoys their two weeks
off and if you are traveling, that you are safe and have fun! I will staying home during the break and
working on things around my house and spending some time with my family and
friends.
*Report cards are available
online starting today!
*I have decided to extend the
reading competition to the end of April.
As an added incentive to keep reading, if your child completes the
reading calendar that was sent home yesterday over Spring Break, he/she will
automatically earn 10 stickers for his/her reading chart (in addition to the
extra recess he/she will earn). In case
you need another copy of the spring break reading chart, I have attached it in
PDF format to the e-mail. I can’t wait
to have a pizza party with the kids that have earned it!
*Continue to work on addition
and subtraction math facts. Make sure to
use those fact triangles that were sent home, or you can practice for free
online at www.xtramath.org.
*If anyone is able to come in
and volunteer after break, send me an e-mail and let me know what day and time
works best for you! Thanks!
*I believe in building relationships with the children both
inside my classroom and outside the classroom.
If your child participates in any extracurricular activities (sports,
dance, theater, etc.), or has any other events that he/she would like to invite
me to, please let me know, and I will do my best to come!
*The blog will also be updated with this information as well
so if you need to see it again visit http://misswhisman.blogspot.com
